Being lectured about copyright by someone who has never heard of Constitutionally protected "fair use" is humorous. This is an academic research and historical archive site - both protected uses under US, and all other, Copyright law. Read a book sometime...

fudoki as you noted, this website's use was intended for but not limited to, academic research. Intellectual property and copyright law being my focus of study I thought this would be a great place to share ideas thoughts and freely available information. "Fair use" in the Copyright Act(not the Constitution)defines the limitations and legally permissible 'uses' of copyright protected Works. Fair use is not limited to libraries and archives, fair use(s) extend to the public as well. Fair use as detailed in the Copyright Act(s), is determined on a case-specific, context-sensitive basis by applying general principles.
Commercial copying, wholesale copying, and copying of highly expressive works are rarely successfully argued to be fair use.
fudoki you seem to have misinterpreted the reasoning that goes along with "Fair use", there are however many books freely available on the topic.

Um, if you google Copyright Act and First Amendment you will get some 4,300,000 results, with some very current debates. There is sort of a constitutional issue there.
